The Great Escape là bộ phim dựa trên câu chuyện có thật về một cuộc đào thoát ngoạn mục trong lịch sử thế giới. Bối cảnh phim diễn ra tại một trại tập trung của Đức, nơi giam giữ hàng trăm tù nhân chiến tranh của Thế chiến II. Những tù nhân này, đã lập nên một kế hoạch tỉ mỉ để trốn ra ngoài.
