Bộ phim kể về Selene (do Kate Beckinsale thủ vai), một "Death Dealer" (kẻ săn người sói) thuộc loài ma cà rồng. Selene bị cuốn vào một âm mưu phức tạp khi phát hiện ra rằng người sói đang săn đuổi một con người tên Michael Corvin (do Scott Speedman thủ vai) vì anh ta mang trong mình dòng máu đặc biệt có thể kết hợp hai loài thành một giống loài mạnh mẽ hơn.
Trong khi điều tra, Selene phát hiện ra sự thật đen tối về cuộc chiến giữa ma cà rồng và người sói, cùng với việc những người cô từng tin tưởng đang che giấu những bí mật có thể thay đổi hoàn toàn cuộc chiến. Cô phải bảo vệ Michael và đồng thời tìm cách đối mặt với sự phản bội từ bên trong.
